We were honoured to receive a wonderful donation from the family of Carlie following her beautiful service in St Marys RC Church Bo'ness on Hogmanay.  Carlie was such a wee beacon of light in the town and we will honour her memory by using the money to buy something lovely in her memory. 

One of our favourite things to do is put out the festive decorations - we now decorate 12 areas, each different, with a general theme throughout them all. Central landscaping Supplies donate 2 giant Christmas trees each year and these are displayed on the Linlithgow Road - please feel free to add any decorations you wish. We love the hand made ones the children make for us every year.  

Jaine has been chatting this year to Marion at Craigview Nursing home and agreed to work with the residents to spruce up their garden area.  You might recognise the sculpture from a fair arch from a few years ago and there’s some planted tubs with Hebes and winter pansies.   More work in the rest of their garden will be undertaken in the Spring.  

The food tins at the Bird Table at Provost Road are constantly kept topped up with Fat Balls and Seed so remember if you're passing to feed the birds, or even bring some of your own food down for them to enjoy. The children from Kidz Stop Nursery gather bits and bobs from the woods to put in the bug hotel and we love seeing them wandering about the community garden enjoying the various things there is to look at.

Today the people of Bo'ness will gather at the Cenotaph for the annual remembrance day memorial service. As we remember those great men's ultimate sacrifice I know that more than one or two within the crowd will have a private thought for our friend Robert Jardine, who very sadly passed away this year. Together with his two pals they produced this incredible book that honours each and every one of the men who are on our memorial. An absolute gentleman, who deserves a wee nod tomorrow too.
